Apple Campus 2 "The Spaceship"
Apple Campus 2, or the "Spaceship," is a ring-shaped 2.8 million-square-foot main building clad entirely in the world’s largest panels of curved glass. Over 12,000 employees work on the 176-acre site powered by 100 percent renewable energy and the site of the world’s largest naturally ventilated building.
 
China Mobile Data Center
The China Mobile International Data Center and Office Park will house CMI’s “flag ship” facility in North America. The total facility will be approximately 287,000 SF with a 9,000 SF substation enclosure. The 300,000-square-foot structure will be built for LEED Silver certification. The data center’s two wings will extend from a central building. The 70,000-square-foot main office will have a capacity of 200 people.
 
Facebook - MPK 21 & 22
Facebook's Menlo Park Campus Building 21 is a Frank Gehry design with 524,000 sq. ft. of new office space with break-away spaces, service amenities and a 2,000-seat event space on a heavily landscaped 22.7 acre portion of the overall parcel. Situated on the western portion of Facebook’s campus is Building 22, which includes a 457,000sf four-story office building and an eight-story parking garage.
 
Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center
Reno is getting its first new full-service hospital in more than a century with the building of the Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center. The project includes 350,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space as well as 200 private patient rooms. The new hospital campus is expected to employ 1,000 new healthcare workers.
 
San Diego Airport - Terminal 2 Expansion
The Terminal 2 expansion at San Diego International Airport consists of 470,000 square feet of public and nonpublic areas and 10 additional contact aircraft gates. The expansion is three stories including passenger circulation, airline check-in/ticket lobby, security screening, baggage handling, waiting areas, seating areas, concessions food court space, public art, restrooms, office space, special technology systems, and other related service/support areas. Airside facilities (approximately 1,300,000 square feet) include the aircraft parking aprons, taxiways, and taxi lanes that serve the Terminal 2 West Expansion.
 
Stanford University Center for Academic Medicine
Designed by HOK, the four-story, 170,000-sf facility will provide consolidated administrative space for clinical faculty, computational researchers, and departmental leadership. The collaborative project will include a conference center, a café, a fitness center, and a three-story, 830-space underground parking structure.
 
UC Merced Science and Engineering Building 2
UC Merced Science and Engineering Building 2 - UC Merced
Completed during the Summer of 2014, the new Science and Engineering Building 2 (S&E2) on the campus of University of California, Merced (UC Merced) is a four-story, 101,900-square-foot facility that provides UC Merced with advanced educational and research capabilities. Component West worked with the C.M., McCarthy and owner, the Regents of the University of California to perform interior and exterior framing, sheathing, drywall, insulation and plaster.

Expo Rail
Expo Rail
Completed during the first quarter of 2016, the Expo Line Phase 2 is a new rail car maintenance facility in Santa Monica. A two-Story, 70,000 square-foot facility that supports the new rail line, and provides efficient operations as ridership increases in the years to come. Component West worked with the G.C., Kiewit and owner, Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority, to perform interior and exterior framing, drywall, insulation.
 
San Diego Airport Expansion
The San Diego Airport expansion will double the size of the existing Terminal 2 and will allow for ten additional gates. The expanded terminal will include shops, a large waiting area with an atrium and a stage for music, dance and other performances. The "Green Build" project, performed for the Turner / PCL / Flatiron Tri-venture, encompasses 350,000 square feet and is scheduled to be opened in June 2013.
 
Camp Pendleton Replacement Hospital
Component West, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Component Assembly Systems, Inc., has a Design Build contract with the Clark/McCarthy Joint Venture on the $440,000,000 state of the art healthcare project in San Diego, California. Component West is responsible for the design and construction of over 600,000 square feet of interiors that includes metal framing and drywall as well as all exterior framing and sheathing, complete with Anti-Terrorist Forced Protection blast design. Component West is also an integral part of the Building Information Modeling team, essential for design efficiency, clash detection and cost control.
 
Sycuan Casino and Hotel
This project is a 2 Floor Casino Renovation encompassing the latest technology to upgrade the massive gaming floors. Scheduled to be completed in the Summer of 2011, the gaming floors will remain fully operational during renovation. All work will be performed after hours to minimize the effect of construction on the gaming operations. The gambling floors will receive new acoustic, metal, and wood ceilings that allow it to be the final touch of a "Las Vegas Style" casino located in cosmopolitan San Diego.
